The Artist

Looking at the sheet of white
His eyes widened as
he then smiled to himself
The artist picked up the brush
and lifted his palette up

Dipping his brush into
the rich coloured paint
The artist began to stain the
pure, virgin white sheet

A few strokes here and there
he smiled wickedly
Gently and smoothly he let
his brush do the work
Certain times it did it vigorously

Oh no, his brush had made a mistake
The artist was disappointed for that moment
but he managed to turn that
one obvious flaw into a hidden mistake,
which looked remarkably beautiful

'Yes!', he finally exclaimed as
a sign of satisfaction
At last his masterpiece
had been completed
